Fishtastic FAQ's
Good questions that get asked lots
Nothing – we promise – it’s just what the product name says! Nothing more, nothing less!
All dogs are different (just like we humans), so it is about keeping an eye on your dogs’ reactions…
However in our experience, we have had very few dogs with allergies since we started our dog treat journey in 2014
Fun Fact: Cartilage Fish (eg. Shark) are the lowest allergenic protein on the planet!
Yes there are bones in some of our products (eg. Bites and whole fish), but they are “soft edible bones”, just as we are able to eat them too.
In saying that, it is also about knowing your dog… Is it a gulper, or a chewer etc. Always keep an eye on your dog when introducing a new treat – fish or any flavour.
Absolutely not – these treats are made with the under-utilised fish (the stuff we humans don’t particularly like), and the waste from the filleting of the fish.
We are committed to the sustainability of our fishing waters and the environment, and vehemently follow our zero waste philosophy.
All of our shark products are either North Queensland Blacktip Sharks or Australian Gummy Sharks. They are both highly common sharks in Australia and are caught using sustainable practices in accordance with the Australian Fisheries Regulations. Caught for human consumption (often referred to as flake).
